F Ball F58 Styccobond Rubber Floorcovering Adhesive – 15ltr
STYCCOBOND F58 is an acrylic emulsion adhesive, which is designed to give a high bond strength and strong initial tack. It is protected against biodegradation and is suitable for use over normal underfloor heating installations.
STYCCOBOND F58 can be used for securing a wide range of rubber sheet and tile floor coverings.
It can be applied to STOPGAP smoothing underlayments, structurally sound, smooth, dry subfloors of concrete and sand/cement screed, plywood, flooring grade chipboard and hardboard.
STOPGAP Waterproof Surface Membranes, sound flooring grade asphalt and other non-absorbent surfaces must be skimmed with a minimum of 3mm of the appropriate STOPGAP smoothing underlayment.

Application:
Site conditions vary and will have an impact on the application characteristics of the adhesive.
Holding the trowel at an angle of 60°, spread the adhesive evenly over an area of the subfloor that can be covered whilst the adhesive remains receptive and gives good transfer. Allow the adhesive sufficient time to reach a wet pasty tacky consistency while still enabling full transfer to the back of the floorcovering. When installing tiles, leave the adhesive for approximately 10 minutes before placing the flooring – this will help to reduce the potential for sliding.
Following the floorcovering manufacturers installation instructions lay the floorcovering into the adhesive gradually expelling air using a cork board. Press from the centre outwards using a cork board or carpeted STYCCOBOND GLYDA to ensure the floorcovering is laying flat, as soon as the adhesive begins to secure the floorcovering, roll using a flooring roller, end-to-end and side-to-side to ensure overall contact. 30 minutes later when the floor has been completely covered roll as necessary to ensure overall contact is maintained.
For any areas under question please consult the F Ball Technical team.
Precautions:
A surplus adhesive may be removed from the surface of the flooring whilst it is still wet, using a cloth dampened with water. Allow the adhesive to dry overnight before commencing seam welding operations. Using a flooring roller on 2mm thick rubber floorcoverings whilst the adhesive is still wet will promote bubbling.

STYCCOBOND A2 notched trowel, F. Ball 68kg flooring roller, Trimming knife, Cork Board, STYCCOBOND GLYDA. Tools should be cleaned with warm soapy water while the adhesive is still wet.
